Jillian Jodrey is an emerging self-taught artist from Nova Scotia. In 2020 after 11 years of work as a continuing care assistant, she turned her passion for art into a full-time career.

She creates art because it is fun and challenges her mind to see the details of everything and everyone around her. Using acrylic, she focuses on pet portraits and small artwork packed full of detail.

Her work can be found in homes and private collections across Canada, she exhibited at Chester Art Centre’s "Doors Wide Open" exhibition July 2020 and 2019-2020 She worked with En Pointe Performing Arts afterschool program as the art teacher for ages 5-10.

When she is not painting, she can be found with her children exploring beaches or sharing laughter with friends and family.
